How to Calculate Hours Worked
Enter your start time and end time, then subtract any break time. The calculator gives you total hours and minutes worked.
For the weekly timesheet, fill in each day's times. The total is calculated automatically. Overnight shifts (end time before start time) are handled correctly.
Common Work Schedules
- Standard: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8 hours, 7.5 after 30-min break)
- Part-time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4 hours)
- Extended: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (10 hours, 9 after 1-hour break)
- Night shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (8 hours)
- Full-time week: 40 hours (5 × 8h)
